Karakoram Prime-X W is intended for riders looking for compact Prime-X version for smaller boots. Karakoram Prime-X W works best with a medium-stiff or stiff splitboard boot. This combination loses little power between cuff, highback and board and suits heavier riders, firm traverses, steep lines and stiffer splitboards.

How does the system work?

Karakoram Prime-X W uses Prime Ride Mode 3.0, Tour Mode and Active Joining. Karakoram actively pulls the board halves together in ride mode. That firm connection supports torsional stiffness and edge pressure, while negative forward lean creates room for a longer touring stride.

Which size should you choose?

Available Karakoram Prime-X W sizes: W-S, W-M. Use the boot’s real outer length: heel and toe should remain centred, straps should operate in their intended range and the boot must not move laterally in the chassis. The compact chassis is designed around smaller outer boot dimensions and prevents narrow boots from floating between heelcup and straps.
