Route Character

Classic Munich ski touring destination. Very popular as evening tour from Sunday to Friday. Snowboarders should look out for the flat sections in the descent. Other reachable summits and routes are Rauhkopf, Rotwand-Runde etc.

Starting Point & Village

Starting point: Talstation Taubensteinbahn Village: Spitzingsee

Ascent & Route

Starting at the Taubensteinbahn you hike up following the downhill slope. After a flat section at the rear part of the valley you take the western slope to the top station of Taubensteinbahn.

To reach the summit, hike up the North-East side of the summit ridge.

Descent & Variants

Same as ascent. Variants possible with adequate local knowledge.
