Route Character
Short trip, near one of the most beautiful city in Romania, Brasov. Excelent for beginners, you don”t need crampons and ice ax. You will enjoy the forest snow also the alpine snow. If it was snowing recently ( one day ago), you will have a lot of powder.
Starting Point & Village
Starting point: The start point is on the left side of the roud, over 500 m from Timisul de Sus railway station . There will be a forest road. Village: Brasov
Ascent & Route
The ascent is easy. The forest”s road lenght is about 6 km, you can use your splitboard/ski all along the forest road. At the end you will enter into a small forest. The valley is on the east .From the afternoon you will climb with the sun above you. You climb untill you enter into the alpine . You pass near to a fold. The pass on the knoll is very short, from here starts the descent.
Descent & Variants
The first 10 m from the descent are in a very steep zone, here you must be carefull. You can’t descent on the splitboard. After that the descent with your splitboard start.There is full of powder if recently was snowing .Your will ride your splitboard just in forest. You need to be very carefully when you enter in the valley. The path isn’t marked but if your going all along the valley you will intersect with the main trail that will get you out from the forest . Here is the north face. After that on this road you will get to Dambu’ Morii village.
