Short steep splitboard / backcountry route with great fun and great descent options, unfortunately, often endangered of avalanches.

Starting point: Power station Tiwag Village: Kühtai
Ascent & Route
At the small bridge through the forest glade we hike up into the open splitboard / backcountry. The route starts with about 30 ° and becomes steeper and steeper. In a large S-bend, we proceed to the summit ridge. Here we construct the splitboard / ski deposit and walk on at the airy ridge to the top of the Hochwanner 2488m.
Descent & Variants
As ascent, riding cool splitboard / backcountry terrain. At very safe condition provides the Hochwanner some very steep variations.
Refreshments & Huts
The Dortmunder Hütte has classic Kaspressknödel, and offers a beautiful view of the lines we have just made a week before at the Hochwanner.
