Splitboarding Spring Fest 2015

Can you imagine something better than a fantastic touring weekend in May, with a bunch of friends? A Splitboard Festival where you get exactly that and on top you have the chance to test the new splitboarding stuff of the actual and next season 15-16. As we know Spring conditions are best to test material seriously, hard in the morning and sluffy at midday you have just to find the right moment for your descent. At the altitude of over 3000 Meters you can have unexpected incredible dry pow as well. But there is not just splitboard touring for ambitious splitboarders but at the Amberger Hütte you have touring and test possibilities for all levels. Skitouring frinds are warmly welcome as well.

The location around the Amberger Hütte:

The Amberger Hütte is well known and very much liked for it’s vast skitouring and splitboard touring possibilies. Yea, it can be called touring eldorado in the heart of the Stubaier Alps. The hut will be opened exclusively for us at this weekend, so we can gurantee that we are touring on our own, just with like-minded people. The possibilities are amazing, from splitboard touring of a few hundred meters, further with easy routes of around 1000 altimeters up to the long and challenging routs of 6-8 hours and more than 1500 altimeters.

To meet your personal needs we have created different packages. Sure we have one very economic package for those of you who just want to join the Splitboarding Spring Fest weekend with friends and come with their own material. If your skitouring friends want to join, they are welcome, too.

IMPORTANT: Please tell us your Splitboarding Level (Experience with the Splitboard / Experience in the Backcountry / Fitness Level) in a realistic way. Only like that we are able to form matching groups, getting out the maximum learning-effect of the weekend.

With the “Guided Tester Package” you get everything you can imagine from testing to knowledge transfer. You do practical AVI exercises with the mountain guides and you have the chance to ask everything you want to know while touring. Our guides like to share their knowledge and experience to ease up your entry into splitboarding or to updated your knowledge (Spring Conditions Special).

You get access to our big pool of demo material and can enjoy the testing. Beside the safety theory you can practice your AVI skills and get to know the splitboard material, explained by experienced splitboarders. Everybody will have the chance to mount the hired material by him- or herself. You will organise your touring by yourself with support of locals and info material we are going to provide. You will be informed about the conditions the avalanche level and the great possibilities of the region at Amberger Hütte. Sure the accommodation, half board and lunch package is included as well as the fun at this unique event.

At you arrival please remember the two hours hike to reach the hut, if you want we can shuttle your backpack at a fee of 5 €uro per backpack.

Sunday, 10 May 2015:

• Free splitboarding all day
• 08.00-14.00 touring & safety (guided, beginner, selfguided)
• 14.00 return demo material

*the program can change depending to different factors like weather, number of attendees,… .

But be sure we give our best to do an unforgettable event.

The group building will be done at the event, so everybody can find people of similar skills and get the most out of the event.

Option B: Bus / Train Innsbruck Airport —> Ötztal Bahnhof than by taxi.
