VAUDE Monviso 26 26/27

The Monviso 26 is a 26-litre touring pack for a complete day-touring kit. This page places it in a splitboard touring context: what it is for, where its limits sit and which equipment still belongs in the setup.

What is the Monviso 26 designed for?

On a day tour, shovel and probe must remain immediately accessible rather than buried under spare clothing. Skins, crampons, first aid, repair kit, water, food and weather protection need fixed places. A secure board carry helps on bootpacks and short walking sections.

Compared with the Monviso 20, the extra volume leaves room for insulation, food and crampons without moving into multi-day pack territory.

What is our editorial assessment?

We have not yet tested the Monviso 26 on tour. This assessment is based on the published manufacturer information and our experience with comparable splitboard equipment. Once we complete a field test, measured data and practical impressions will be separated clearly from product specifications.

What is included and what else do you need?

The price covers a backpack without an avalanche airbag. Transceiver, probe, shovel, hydration and the rest of the touring kit are separate.

Which information comes from the manufacturer?
