We already tested the Gnu Billy Goat splitboard in detail last year. Nevertheless, we did not want to miss the ISPO news. So we went over to the Lib Tech and Gnu booth and learned a lot more about the developer of the Billy Goat Split. Temple is his name and he's a really passionate splitboarding fan.
Last season we already presented GARA splitboards. Of course we went to visit them at ISPO 2013, to have a chat about their new range and their new developments for 2014.
For the upcoming season 2014/14, K2 presents the womens's specific Northern Lite Splitboard.
At ISPO Jeremy Jones himself presented the Ultracraft Splitboard. It is much lighter than other split boards, though Jones have placed on durability while optimizing the performance and the weight. So they still use the proven edge technology such as in the Solution or Flagship.
Karakoram has made some innovations on their splitboard binding setup. As before, there is the Karakoram Split 30 and the SL with usual and carbon highback.
We have tried the Burton Freebird Splitboard 2014 with the new channel system and the Spark Magneto Bindings.
The Arbor guys have revised their Abacus splitboard. Since the board is working very well and otherwise no frills, just the outer sidewall was changed by an ABS sidewall to increase the durability.
Rome SDS has expanded its already established Splitboard range with a swallow tail.
