The Yes Optisplitstic is based on the Optimistic solidboard from YES. The sidecut radius was chosen relatively small, which allows tight turns. What immediately stands out on the Yes Optisplitstic is the tapered tail and the "underbite edges" in the binding area. In contrast to already common concepts for improving edge hold, such as serrated edges (used by brands like Jones, Libtech and Salomon) or creating additional, slightly outward contact points along the edge (featured by Arbor or Stranda) YES chooses a different approach and shifts the edges inwards. With the Optisplitstic, the focus is more on the way down and less on the ascent, making it ideal for riders who want to expand their action radius in resorts. The split is mid wide and better suited for people with big feet. Also a big plus, Yes provides lifelong warranty for its boards (but not when hitting a rock).
