The Weston Backwoods Carbon is one of the lightweights among the splitboards. We measured 2850 grams for the 163 cm long version. The board has a classic freeride shape with camber under feet and early rise rocker in the nose and tail area, plus almost 2 cm taper. Interesting in this construction are the different sidecut radii in the tail, mid and front area, similar to the Jones Solution. This, in combination with the profile, provides a safe riding experience in variable and rough terrain. Turns can also be initiated less abruptly.
