Voile Light Rail 12/13 - Details
There have not been major changes to the Voile Light Rail Splitboard Binding. It is lightweight, reduced to the essentials and still stiff, so you can take your split board in any terrain.
The voile slider plates are integrated in the binding, so the connection with the board is more direct than with the universal kit.
The bottom plate of the binding has been cut to a minimum, to reduce sticking of ice and to cut weight. The rails on the bottom plate are CNC machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum for a reliable durability. With the lanyard (a combination of two buckles on the side), you can do a quick release of the binding in case of emergency.
The new Light Rail has been simplified, reduced weight and improved the interaction of the Voile splitboard system with the Light Rail.
A disadvantage compared to a competitor, it is that the binding has to be removed from the splitboard to fit the crampons.
