Profile: Camber between the feet for better control, pop and landing stability and Rocker on tip & tail for effortless floatation forward and switch.
Shape: Tapered Directional. Tail width is slightly tapered (10-15mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Core: Super light paulownia wood.
Sidewalls: ABS
Base: Sintered EG, engineered for a super fast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. Sintered material provides superior wax retention, Gallium strengthens impact resistance and the Electra finish gives a turbocharged glide. A fine stone finish is particularly efficient on the Sintered EG base, speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
Fiber: Biaxial medium density fiberglass.
Edge: All Mountain Edge Bevel. From detuning the tip and tail to a 1-degree edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, back to a 2 degree bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.
Sidecut: EQ1 - Straight line between the insert help for easy speed check and forgiving turning for catch free fun. The radial sidecut outside the inserts help for turning initiation.
Custom Crampons: Customized crampons to fit on narrower touring skis.
Custom Skin + Voile clips: Custom skin and Voile clips are included for ease of mind and use on the mountains. A specific bag is also provided that let you fold the skin back in just couple of seconds so you don't have to struggle even condition are less than perfect.
The Salomon Premiere is a four part splitboard system, consisting of two pieces that fit into your backpack and allow for lighter and more efficient touring. Custom cut skins made for nofuss conversions, while Aluminum Stringers retain torsional flex and responsiveness. All parts are improved to reduce weight, while increasing the range of binding compatibility, pair this with any set of split bindings (Voile/Spark R&D/Alpine Low Tech) and you have a perfect powder-seeking machine.
