Salomon HPS Taka Split - Details
The Taka Split by Salomon is new this season and was developed by the snowboard icons Takaharu Nakai (Olympics 2002 & 2006, various video parts) and Wolle Nyvelt (countless video parts, Äsmo Surfer). They both come from the backcountry freestyle corner and have many years of shape experience. The split has a directional shape with 12 mm taper and a powder camber profile with a medium flex. The long nose has a rather soft flex and the rocker in the nose area provides massive float in powder. Salomon supplies pre-cut skins of the brand Pomoca, this makes it quite attractive in price. With the long nose it is a splitboard for powder-affine tourers who want to chase through trees with maximum float.
