Prior BC Split 14-15 - Details
The Backcountry is Prior`s original and almost traditional Splitboard. The span of life is allready 14 years. The reason for this longevity is the functionality. The classic freeride shape makes it a versatile backcountry tool.
The directional freeride shape ensures smooth riding pleasure while driving stable through all snow conditions. Its long but moderate sidecut provides high efficiency on the climb and grip on the edge at changing snow conditions. The slight taper at the tail promises additional power in the tail, so you can accelerate out of your turns and have additional energy for fast runs.
Since, the Prior Backcountry split is equipped with the hybrid rocker, it has good floatation under the nose, this adjustment improved the powder performance of the Prior Backcountry Split.

The Prior XTC Carbon Construction is available for all prior boards as upgrade and saves weight about 500g.
Profile / Shape: The hybrid rocker brings great float in powder a smooth edge exchange and excellent edge control. The 2-4mm camber brings energy to every turn.
This board is ideal for backcountry freaks, guides, explorers and multi-day friends, who want to ride big faces, bold high-speed lines or long turns.
