Trading another lift lap for a first skin track is the Dream Weaver 2.0’s brief. Its directional outline and accessible flex suit women taking their freeriding beyond the resort, with a clear emphasis on powder and an approachable ride.

Is the Jones Women's Dream Weaver 2.0 Splitboard 26/27 right for you?

The Dream Weaver 2.0 is interesting for women seeking more freedom in the mountains without choosing a demanding board for every descent. Its directional outline gives powder a clear place in the brief, while the more accessible flex makes it relevant to the move from resort riding to touring. A board like this can remain enjoyable as your experience grows; it is not automatically outgrown after the first few trips.

Our older Dream Catcher coverage already emphasised that balance: approachable enough for progress and versatile enough for experienced riders. The current 2.0 still needs its own assessment on snow. As a buying question, however, the distinction remains useful: do you mainly want relaxed turns and varied terrain, or do you deliberately drive fast, demanding lines with substantial edge pressure?

How does it fit your approach, size and setup?

For the latter, add the Women’s Solution to your comparison. Riders who enjoy natural features and do not judge every tour by steepness should not dismiss the Dream Weaver simply because it occupies an accessible position in the range. Consider your weight with your touring pack and check the actual boot fit across the board. More board is not automatically more useful support for every rider.

What have we learned from earlier seasons?

Our 20/21 Dream Catcher report described an approachable, versatile women’s board with a softer flex and playful character. We valued it for relaxed touring while also seeing appeal for experienced riders. For firmer, more technically demanding use we pointed towards the Women’s Solution. The archive records 82/100 for riding. That experience concerns the Dream Catcher, not today’s Dream Weaver 2.0. We use it to explain the accessible women’s all-round segment, not to establish identical construction.

What has changed since 25/26 and earlier models?

This model already appeared in our 25/26 gear guide. When comparing purchases, check the appropriate size, exact version and the dimensions below. The current manufacturer page does not provide a complete construction change log, so a fresh graphic alone is not a reason to promise a different ride.

FAQ: What should you know before your first tour?

Is the Dream Weaver only for beginners?

No. Its accessible approach can also appeal to experienced riders seeking relaxed tours and playful descents. Compare the Women’s Solution if you want a distinctly firmer freeride emphasis.

Which Jones Women's Dream Weaver 2.0 Splitboard size should I choose?

Current listed lengths are 145, 148, 151, 154 cm. Start with the rider-weight range for each length, then check boot width and stance. Frequent kick turns favour manageable equipment; extra length purely for assumed flotation is not a universal solution. Reference points from the table: 145 cm: 90-140 lbs. / 41-63 kg., waist 23.9 cm; 148 cm: 100-150 lbs. / 45-68 kg., waist 24.1 cm. These are manufacturer recommendations, not weight limits established in our tests.

Which other boards should I compare?

Jones Women’s Solution Splitboard: One board for varied snow and active freeride touring. Nitro Volta Women’s Splitboard: An accessible women’s touring setup in an appropriate size. Choose around your usual tours and an appropriate size rather than favouring a model purely because of its position in the price list.

What original test experience do we have?

There is historical evidence: Jones Dream Catcher Split 20-21. It concerns 20/21 and is discussed above. It is a comparison with an earlier generation or related variant, not an identical 26/27 field test.

What do I need in addition to the board?

You need a compatible splitboard-binding system, suitable boots and skins matched to the length and attachment points. Where Jones specifies a skin group in the table, use it when selecting skins. Compare complete offers: the board price alone does not tell you what a ready-to-tour setup will cost.

Is an earlier-season version worth considering?

Yes, when model, size and condition suit you. Compare the specific model-history information rather than only the year label. For a used board, inspect the base, edges, inserts and connectors. An earlier test score cannot replace a condition check.

Which sizes and specifications are available?

Sizes: 145, 148, 151, 154 cm. Profile: Freeride CamRock. Manufacturer flex: 5/10.

The table contains manufacturer figures for the specified lengths.
