Long sidecut radius - for a stable ride
When it comes to riding technically complicated and steep lines, the Furbergs were always strong. Very robust ships, maybe a bit heavier than other boards, but they survive almost every situation on the mountain. The long sidecut radius provides stability that is appreciated when conditions are not perfect. After all, it doesn't have fluffy powder every day on the mountain. Especially on the big lines conditions change quite fast within a descent.
Nothing has changed in design and construction compared to the 2017-18 model. In season 2017-18, the sidecut radius has been shortened: from a full 18 m radius to 11.6 to 14 m - depending on the board size. The rocker and reverse sidecut has been slightly extended, nose and tail, too. These changes promise a catch-free ride and at the same time a more optimized setup: The board becomes more agile and follows the curve better as soon as you stand on the edge. Furthermore, the transition to the reverse sidecut and the still long turning radius ensures sufficient stability. A low camber ensures the best compromise between flotation of full rocker, responsiveness and grip of camber.
