Amplid Milligram Split 26-27 - Details
The Amplid Milligram Split returns for 26/27 as the ultimate weapon for riders who refuse to compromise on weight. Built on a Baltic Birch Poplar (BBP) core wrapped in a Full Carbon Jacket, the Milligram is engineered to be as light as physics allows while still delivering the energized, responsive feel you want on the descent.
The Traction Camber profile locks in on variable terrain and gives you edge hold where the skin track gets steep. Bézier Curves replace standard sidecut radii for a flex curve that is mathematically harmonious — smooth in every turn, reactive where you want it. HEXO2 Techno-Gummy Walls eliminate swing weight at the tips with honeycomb inserts and damp chatter with rubber sidewalls, so the board stays composed even when conditions get rough.
New for 26/27: Bolted Tip Clips that stay put season after season, pre-punched Skin Holes for clean skin attachment without tip loops, and a factory Split Tune so both halves are edge-bevelled and base-structured before they ever touch snow. The 3D Crust Buster Nose breaks through wind slab on the way up and floats effortlessly on the way down.
Tech Features
BBP Core
Amplid's Baltic Birch Poplar core blends the responsiveness of birch with the flex consistency of poplar — lightweight, durable, and precisely profiled for splitboard touring.
Full Carbon Jacket
Amplid's Full Carbon Jacket is the most demanding fiber laminate in their lineup. Carbon's unbeatable tensile strength-to-weight ratio allows ultra-thin, nearly weightless laminates to achieve the same flex profile as heavier constructions. The result: a responsive, energized feel unique to carbon layups.
HEXO2 Techno-Gummy Walls
Amplid's HEXO2 technology replaces heavier wood at the tips with featherlight honeycomb, practically eliminating swing weight. Combined with vibration-damping rubber sidewalls, it keeps the board composed on chattery hardpack.
3D Crust Buster Nose
A three-dimensionally shaped nose that punches through wind-packed snow crusts on the skin track and generates extra float in deep powder on the descent.
Bézier Curves
Amplid replaces standard radii with Bézier curves in the sidecut and nose design, allowing precise calculation of the core's flex curve for the most harmonious ride imaginable.
Bolted Tip Clips
Stainless steel tip clips bolted directly into the board tip — mechanically fixed so they never pop off or delaminate, even after years of hard touring use.
Floatation Tips
Extended tip geometry displaces more snow for improved float in deep powder conditions.
Stratospheric Nano Coating Topsheet
An ultra-thin stratospheric nano coating replaces a conventional topsheet on Amplid's carbon touring equipment, offering superior protection and improved snow-shedding properties at 50% less weight.
Impact Pads
Multidirectional glass pads in the binding area protect against dings from the corners of metal splitboard binding bases, adding durability with minimal weight penalty.
Sintered Base
Amplid's ultra-high density sintered base is extremely fast in all snow conditions and highly resistant to damage.
Skin Holes
Pre-punched holes at the tip for attaching climbing skins directly to the board — no tip loop required.
Split Tune
Each board half leaves the factory with a specific edge bevel and base structure optimized for splitboarding, ready to ride straight out of the bag.

What’s new in 26/27
Changes compared to the 25/26 model:
- Flex 6 for all sizes — previously 5 for the smaller sizes 151 and 155, now a uniform 6 across all five sizes
- HEXO2 Techno-Gummy Walls replaces HEXO2 Technology — the upgrade adds rubber sidewalls to the existing honeycomb tip inserts for significantly better vibration damping
- 3D Crust Buster Nose new — a three-dimensionally shaped nose to punch through wind slab on the skin track and generate extra float in powder
- Stratospheric Nano Coating Topsheet replaces the previous Nano Coating
- Skin Holes new — pre-punched holes for direct skin attachment without tip clips
- BBP Core, Bolted Tip Clips, Floatation Tips and Split Tune now explicitly listed in the feature set (already used in earlier seasons)
FAQ
Can I ride it on-piste? Yes. It is a bit heavier than a solid board, but it rides well on-piste.
Do I need special boots for splitboarding? No. Regular snowboard boots work, but splitboard/touring boots offer better uphill support, walk mode and edging on traverses.
