Amplid Milligram Split - Details

Set sail with the Amplid Milligram Split, a cutting-edge board designed for the light and nimble splitboarder. Weighing in at just 2.5 to 2.7 kg, this board is crafted with a Traction Camber profile that enhances grip on variable terrain, ensuring you stay in control as you explore the backcountry.

The Milligram features Bezièr Curves in its sidecut and nose design, which allows for a meticulously calculated flex curve. This results in a harmonious ride that balances responsiveness and stability. Coupled with the Full Carbon Jacket, you’ll experience an energized feel while maintaining a featherweight construction that doesn’t compromise performance.

Equipped with HEXO2 Technology, the board reduces swing weight by replacing heavier wood in the tips with lightweight honeycomb, making your spins and maneuverability effortless. The multidirectional Impact Pads in the binding area enhance durability against any dings from metal splitboard bindings, ensuring your board stays in top shape for all your adventures.

With a sintered base that glides smoothly in all snow conditions, the Milligram is built for speed and resilience. Its ultra-thin Nano Coating enhances protection and snow-shedding capabilities while keeping the weight down. Whether you’re climbing steep ascents or carving fresh lines, the Amplid Milligram Split is your trusty companion on the quest for untracked powder.

Tech Features

Bezièr Curves
We replace standard radii with Beziér curves in our sidecut and nose design, allowing us to precisely calculate the core’s flex curve for the most harmonious ride imaginable.

Full Carbon Jacket
Amplid’s Full Carbon Jacket is the most expensive fiber laminate in Amplid’s arsenal. Carbon’s tensile strength to weight ratio is unbeatable, it allows the use of thinner, almost weightless laminates to achieve the same flex profile. Its responsive and energized feel is unique.

HEXO2 Technology
Spin to win with effortless style. Amplid’s HEXO2 core replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight honeycomb, practically eliminating swing weight.

Impact Pads
On the Milligram we have added multidirectional glass pads in the binding area, to avoid dings caused by the pointy corners of metal splitboard binding bases. These pads enhance durability while only adding minimal weight.

Nano Coating
Replacing a conventional topsheet on Amplid’s carbon touring equipment, Nano Film is an ultra-thin polyamide coating that offers great protection and improved snow-shedding properties with 50% less weight.

Sintered Base
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.

FAQ

Can I ride it on-piste? Yes. It is a bit heavier than a solid board, but it rides well on-piste.

Do I need special boots for splitboarding? No. Regular snowboard boots work, but splitboard/touring boots offer better uphill support, walk mode and edging on traverses.

Which binding fits best? Check our bindings overview for compatible options: https://www.splitboarding.eu/en/bindings
