Basalt Suspension Strips
Amplid’s Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the bindings, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping you edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!
Biax Glass
Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.
Flotation Tips
Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
Split Tune
We lightly round the edges at the tip and tail, outside of the effective edge. Blunting these edges reduces chipping to the topsheet during skinning.
Sintered 7
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
Bolted Tip Clips
Using threaded bolts instead of rivets allows broken tip clips to be easily replaced, on the hill, without the need for a workshop full of tools.
PRE-CURED IMPACT PLATES
Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
CUSTOMS CLIPS
Forged aluminium board hooks, designed in-house by Amplid’s R&D team, offer a dependable, but weightless connection between board halves and have a slick matt black aesthetic.

Based on the mountain-conquering LoveLife, the Split’s shape and well-matched Direction Cruise Camber profile strike the perfect balance between control and maximizing deep snow enjoyment. It’s true, there are lighter splitboards, but very few boards deliver such a well-rounded package with such a reasonable price tag.
On the construction front, the LoveLife’s full-wrap steel edges are essential for grip during tricky traverses and durability for rocky climbs. Its Voile insert pattern is the industry standard and features on all Amplid splitboards: It is compatible with bindings from most manufacturers, including Voile, Karakoram and Spark R&D. New UltraClips, the second generation of Karakoram’s market-leading board clips, not only look slick, they offer the best mix of durability and performance.
