Test Results

Descent: It is relatively soft and playful. The Riva also forgives rider error. If you have strong legs and ride progressively, the board might be a bit too soft for you. This is the feedback from a former Olympic champion. The Riva is less progressive than the Mendiboard, for example. On the other hand, the turns are very easy to initiate and relaxed cruising is also fun.

Ascent: There was nothing wrong with the Riva on the ascent. The nose stays floats well on the snow surface, the edge holds even in hard traverses, and the kick turns are easy thanks to the well-chosen touring pivot location.

Description

The Weston Riva is easy to handle and forgiving in terms of board feel. A very good all-round splitboard that is available in a length of 143 cm for smaller and lighter women. This is especially nice because in the splitboard world there is not much choice in lengths under 150 cm.
