Phenix is comming up with two new splitboard models in 2012/13

FRX162 is a 3-piece split, using a new wood core concept, so phenix is able to reduce the weight getting in the weight range of classic splitboards.

STX168 is a 2-piece splitboard for those who like the longer boards in powder.

All 12/13 boards received new wood finishing (photo coming soon)
New crampons are also comming with enlightment and new usefull tips.

The SPX 173 and the FXR 159 are already known, well thought out three-piece splitboards, which allow you to use skiing tracks at the ascent. Climbing you carry the middle piece of your board at the back. On the descent it is a little bit heavier as a two-piece split. Which one is better? It`s a matter of taste.

The Splitboard SPX 173 is a pure powder board, which already siren the Swallow-shape, it is also available as a "two-piecer".

The Phenix Splitboard FXR 159 is a backcountry-oriented all-rounder, with a classic freeride shape. Its relatively short length makes it very maneuverable at couloirs and in the forest, even the edges have extraordinary hold in all snow conditions.

Both boards are hybrid boards, that is a combination of camber and rocker. Thus, you have full edge and great float.

Handmade splitboards by Phenix promise precision and fantastic ride.

Lengths: 173cm, 159cm

    Hi, just for the precision

    Hi, just for the precision
There is two new models this year the FRX162 (coming from the FRH168 solid model) and the STX168 (2-piece split).
FRX162 is a 3-piece split and using a new wood core concept, the weight saving allow us to align total standard weight to classic splits. Design of ski shapes also have evolved to increase surface, using symetrical shape whithout reducing performance on icy terrain.
