Test Results

The Mendiboard Sunnmore is fun to ride down. It has solid float and gives you a surfy feeling, like a surfboard with round tail. It rides very stable and smooth and is one of the boards where you stand on it and have fun immediately. As used to by Mendiboard, it is better in ascent than other powboards in this class. It has a clean forward pull and it is well balanced. It has a long nose and the impressive camber of about 8mm starts at the front of the hooks. The tail is relatively short with approx. 5cm. Thus the effective edge is long, which is noticeable in the already mentioned ascent performance. The topsheet is also used for rental boards. Although it is a little heavier, it is very durable and abrasion resistant. In summary, the Mendiboard Sunmore is a board for all those for whom quality, price and performance play a greater role than a well-known brand.

Description

Mendiboard from Zarautz, at the foot of the Pyrenees, has a new splitboard, the Sunnmore, in its line-up. Like the Hexagon Split, it is a pure camber board because in the Pyrenees you have to be well prepared for all types of snow conditions. Equipped with a long effective edge, a robust base and 40 cm rocker in the nose area, it is more optimized for powder without losing performance in other snow conditions.
