Test Results

"With the Swoon splitboard from Arbor, the nose rocker has been shifted slightly towards the tail making the board float better. It thus gets more chattery but facilitates a smooth surfy ride in deep snow. Like the Veda, it's nice and versatile. The Swoon is also relatively soft and pleasant to ride. If the snow is variable between soft and hard pack, you will need to pay attention. In terms of weight, Arbor has optimized it. This pleases us very much, since the company often makes shorter and narrower, but not normally lighter boards. With our comprehensive test, the weight savings was very noticeable.

The Swoon is also good on the ascent. Increased edge hold due to the Grip Tech and great tip floatation. The balance point is set so that even if there is some snow on the nose, the ascent performance is maintained and easy kick turns are still possible.

Description

The Swoon Split from Arbor is available this year, similar to the Goodboards GB Split, in two versions: Once as a nose rocker and once as a camber version. We have tested the camber version here and would also prefer this to the rocker version, because with a pure rocker splitboard the edge hold in the ascent is worse.
