Amplid Tour Operator
As already reported, the Tour Operator will replace the proven Creamer Split in season 2019-20. With the TourOperator Amplid has proven once again that they develop Splitboards with heart and soul and spare no effort to fulfill their customers' wishes. It floats well, rides playfully and is also suitable for solid freestyle interludes thanks to its "almost" twin shape. So you can use the terrain playfully and turn any obstacle into a ridable feature.
The tour operator has everything we expect from a universal splitboard. Not only that, but in addition there is a plus in durability and a relatively low price for a splitboard with these features. Both on the piste and in the terrain it is strong, although not as superior as its light brothers. Nevertheless, it irons over bumps and broken snow, remains stable even at high speeds and keeps the edge. In powder you shift the weight to the back due to the shape and get a lot of uplift. In the ascent the higher weight compared to a Milligram or Millisurf is noticeable. But it is on a par with other boards of the same weight class.
The tour operator expands the Amplid range with a good splitboard for a wide range of applications.

Basalt Suspension Strips
Amplid’s Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the bindings, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping you edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!
Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.
All Terrain Tips
A smooth kick radius and fuller tip outline improves deep snow floatation without adding swing weight.
We lightly round the edges at the tip and tail, outside of the effective edge. Blunting these edges reduces chipping to the topsheet during skinning.
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
Bolted Tip Clips
Using threaded bolts instead of rivets allows broken tip clips to be easily replaced, on the hill, without the need for a workshop full of tools.
Pre-Cured Impact Plates
Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
Forged aluminium board hooks, designed in-house by Amplid’s R&D team, offer a dependable, but weightless connection between board halves and have a slick matt black aesthetic.
Knuckle Sandwich Construction
Knuckle Sandwich replaces conventional materials prone to damage with more durable alternatives. It’s like Botox for your board, but without the trout pout.
