Route description
Starting point:

Hiking car park Hotel Ammerwald

Ascent:

Ascent starts at Hotel Ammerwald along the forest path and follows the signs to Jägerhütte. At about 1400m one branches off to the left from the ascent track in the direction of Hochblasse through the forest and up to Hirschwängalpe.
From there, head south to the ridge and follow it to the summit.

Descent:

From the summit just follow the ascent track back a few meters and then descend into the N-E summit slope..... you can easily memorize it on the ascent.
We went down to the Hirschbergalm and then climbed a few metres back on the ridge again to continue riding through the light forest over the mountain ridge along the border between Bavaria and Tyrol.
