Route description
Starting point:

Parking lot Rehbachlift Menzenschwand (tow lift). Free of charge.

Ascent:

From the car park follow the Schwinnbach lift Variant 2 uphill (blue piste). Turn left in the forest, first very briefly on a gravel road, then turn right on a signposted path up to the Spiesshorn. From there ride down to Krunkelbachhütte. Follow the gravel path over the Rossrücken and into the forest in the direction of Hof, until you reach the branchoff to the right to Herzogenhorn (yellow rhomb). First on a wider path, then on a path through the forest, the last 500 meters on an open field. We reach the summit from the south.

Descent:

Ride off to the west. CAUTION AT THE BIG CORNICE! Ascent again via the Krunkelbachhütte to the little Spießhorn. Below the Spießhorn you can also ride the ski slope. From the Krunkelbachhütte you have to change back to the hike mode for this variant.
Alternatively the tour can be continued from the Herzogenhorn in the direction of Feldberg. The descent then follows in northern direction down to the pass summit (skiing area). The downhill run to the west over the nig cornice is, however, very nice if the conditions allow it!

    Tourenbericht
Date of Tour: 6. January 2015
    Group Size: Duo
    Kind of Tour: nur Schneeschuhe
Risk potential: Keine Gefahr, da kaum Schnee.
    Comment / Trip report:
