Route description
Starting point:

East side of the 2 €/day parking place Blombergbahn

Ascent:

Ascent 1:
First of all, follow the signposted ascent route to the ridge. There you turn right and follow the slope towards the mountain station of the Blombergbahn. Pass it and continue to the Blomberghaus (refreshment area). Continue along the path past the Blomberghaus. Either you turn off to the right of the track and follow the summer path (picture) or you stay on the road. Both come to a crossroads, where you either leave the road to the left in the direction of Zwiesel, or if your are coming the summer path, you cross the road and ascend to the Zwiesel.

Ascent 2:
After putting the skins on, one follows the steep cart track until just before an alpine pasture. There, a path leads up to the left towards Heigelkopf. Follow this road until you see the turnoff to the right. From Heigelkopf we head northwards into a saddle (riding with skins on) and ascend to the already visible Blomberg.

Descent:

Descent 1:
From Zwiesel follow the wide ridge towards North East and after approx. 200m head eastwards (Schnaiter Alm) downhill. Pass the alpine pasture and enter a beautiful clearing (SE) at the opposite edge of the forest. Follow this clearing over beautiful rolling meadows past Seibolds Alm into the valley. Lastly, the summer trail leads you to the bridge over the Steinbach. After the bridge, follow the path for another 150 metres to the right, until a steep path leads uphill on the left.

Descent 2:
From Blomberg take the direction of the already visible slope and follow it to the starting point.
