How to get there:

Start in the valley is Vent, it can be reached via Innsbruck in the direction of Bregenz via the motorway. Take the Ötztal exit and head into the valley via Sölden to Vent.

Route description
Starting point:

Vernagt Lodge

Ascent:

You climb up from the lodge to the north to the well visible rock face underneath the Vernagt glacier. You go around it on the left hand side until you reach the glacier. Cross the glacier and continue to Brochkogl Joch at about 3400m. Now you follow the glacier in the north of Brochkogl towards Wildspitze to the ski depot at about 3650m. From here with crampons to the summit.

Descent:

From the ski depot, follow along the first part of the ascent route until you reach the first steep step after the rock on the left side.
Here you stay on the left and climb up to Mitterkarjoch 3470m for a short time. Also in winter you can reach Mittelkar-Ferner via the via ferrata. Keeping to the left, you will pass the Breslau mountain hut and continue to the Vent ski area. And off to the valley. Finished.

    Comment / Trip report:

    Leider konnten wir trotz ca. 2 cm Neuschnee nicht auf den Gipfel. Sicht hat es nicht zu gelassen.
    Schneeverhältnisse sind eher mäßig und man kann nur auf die nächsten Tage hoffen.
