Municipality: Tux

Gentle route that is located partly in the forest, provides an opportunity for testing the equipment and rider’s condition. Possibility also to carry on further up. Best time using this route is at the beginning of the season, before the ski area is officially opened.  Alternatively in spring after the area is closed, whenever the snow conditions allow. Narrow ski route can be too busy during the season.

Route description
Starting point:

The route starts directly from the road next to Waldhütte. Where the ski route 1 goes over the road, there is some place for parking the car right next to the road.

Ascent follows the ski route 1 (small road in the Kompass-map) first up to Heidi’s Hütte and then hiking route nr. 51 to Lämmerbichl restaurant. Skidoos use this route as well, which makes the bottom harder and therefore easy to hike.

Descent is the same as the ascent. Also possible to hike up to Rastkogelbahn top station and ride down the slope.
