Konvoi remains part of our Gear Guide. Boards are now commissioned individually, so the earlier Nevado is not a newly launched 26/27 production series. Our appreciation comes from previous tests: Konvoi built excellent, durable boards. For a new custom commission, you and the workshop agree which characteristics your particular board should have.
Is the Konvoi Custom Splitboard right for your tours?
A custom board makes sense when you can describe your requirements or want help doing so. Give the workshop your weight with touring pack, actual boot sole length, stance and a familiar reference board. Add concrete situations: where do you lack float, when do edge changes require effort, how often do you traverse firm snow? Those answers are more useful than asking for the best board for everything. Agree on shape, profile, flex, hardware and full package contents together before the build.
What matters on the skin track?
The whole setup matters on the skin track. A board can pivot easily downhill and still need lateral support from boots and bindings. Keep a calm stride and assess edge loading on traverses. A useful balance point matters more for repositioning than weight alone. In deep snow the nose should clear the track; tight kick turns need room for the actual length. Include slow track changes and firm passages in the comparison. An impressive downhill outline alone does not answer that question.
How do you choose length, width and stance?
Dimensions are agreed for the individual commission. Use a familiar board as a reference and document what you want to change. Between two suitable lengths, the shorter can be easier to move; extra area may help with higher weight or deeper snow. This is not a fixed rule. Distinguish overall length, effective edge and width underfoot. Additional equipment and a heavy pack also change the load.
How should boots, bindings and skins fit?
Our Gear Guide recommends matching boots and bindings together. Lateral support matters in the changing conditions often found in the Alps. Boots should hold your heel, bindings must fit the actual outer sole, and highbacks should suit your weight and riding. Check overhang at your own binding angles; a wide waist alone does not guarantee a good fit. Practise the complete transition at home before doing it with cold fingers on tour. For skins, length, trimming and nose and tail fittings must match. A shared brand name does not mean a skin fits every outline.

Which of our test experiences help you choose?
Our earlier Nevado 169 combined agility with composure and convincing edge hold. Its reinforcements and durable construction made a particularly positive impression, explaining why Konvoi remains here as a custom option. The 3.1 kg relates to that earlier test.
The ridden Nevado’s channels helped forward drive and climbing edge hold. Descending remained controlled both cruising and at higher speed. Its long shape helped carry momentum over flatter powder sections.
Those characteristics and the historical finishing and sustainability assessments do not promise identical construction for every new commission. Ask the workshop about base thickness, edge protection, replacement parts and the desired weight-to-robustness balance. A durable board starts with an appropriate, clearly agreed construction.

What has changed since 25/26 or earlier models?
For Konvoi snowboards, the individual commission is the reference. Inclusion in the 26/27 guide does not claim a newly launched annual series. Earlier boards serve as references; construction, dimensions and hardware are agreed individually.
What is included in the price and what else do you need?
The checked manufacturer page does not publish a confirmed board price. Request a specific offer for size, build and hardware. We do not invent a monetary value.
Which alternatives are worth comparing?
Use the Gear Guide to compare an appropriately sized all-mountain reference with a powder alternative. For custom offers, your existing board is also an important reference: what works and what would you like to change on tour?

Which sizes and dimensions does the manufacturer list?
Individual dimensions are agreed for the custom commission. Figures are manufacturer data rather than our measurements. Missing or conflicting entries are not filled with estimates. Manufacturer flex and editorial riding scores are different scales.
No reliably assigned complete dimension table is available in text for this version. Confirmed sizes are listed above; additional dimensions or the individual custom build need confirmation with the manufacturer.
