Völkl cashew splitboard, the backcountry is yours.
Völkl has been able to develope a splitboard with some of the best features, thanks to the experienced R & D department. The proven Völkl Cashew, a backcountry freestyle board has been devided in the center and equipped with steel edges at the inner sidewalls. For the core they used hardwood deposits to increase the restoring forces and to achieve a long life. To keep the weight in the ascension as low as possible, it was a carbon "underbody" installed and used as little resin as possible. This fine-tuning continues, because it was used also environmentally friendly and recycled materials, which provide for laboratory and field tests, the same performance as new materials. At the tip and tail you can find very light weight aluprotectors to safe your splitboard at the moment of stone contact or "shark attack". The hooks are attached by using inserts that makes the Völkl splitboard more stable and you have no unsightly holes in the base, but a perfectly-crafted splitboard.
I would like to mention the unique skin pin system to fix your skins easily in the backcountry. Also a perfect fit of the award winning skins is guaranteed. The steel edges are free of the climbing skin, like that you have increased edge grip while climbing.
