Sandy Shapes is an Italian company, which started to produce splitboards in small amounts in 1997 and they have developped producing everytime more.
Sandy himself is an experienced snowboarder and surfer. All Sandy shapes are customizable, so you can build your Split according to your wishes.
It does not matter whether you prefer a little harder or softer flex, if you want a Rocker, a Camber or a Hybrid profile, a fish shape or a classic freeride board. If you are well versed, you can even tell Sandy your preferred torsional stiffness, radius, etc.
The wood core is made from an innovative combination of ash, paulowina and bamboo, which offers you good pop, light weight and durability.
The outer stringers in the core have the same radius as the sidecut of the board, thus you will get maximum response and excellent edge grip, so the guys from Sandy Shapes.
Sandy shapes has experimented a lot with different shapes, profiles and flex versions, but now they build 90% directional, tapered and with medium flex. Each Sandy splitboard has installed dampening to reduce vibration, triaxial fiberglass and carbon reinforcements to optimize the durability and performance to a maximum.
The True Wood topsheet is provided with a shock-resistant coating and at tip and tail there are alu protectors integrated.
