Ascent: The Elan Wave Strider is new and impressed us on the first challenging meters during ascent. With outstanding edge hold you draw your tracks up the mountain like on rails. With 2930g (for the 158 cm version) it is a relative lightweight board that is noticable when going uphill. We noticed how Elan added its expertise from skitouring into the Wave Strider Split.
Descent: During descent it is stable on hard snow and super floaty in the powder. All in all a versatile board which is super fun in the backcountry. If you like to go fast the board stays stable. On groomers it feels a bit wobbely but this doesn't lead to any penalties for an all-mountain split. Laso the Price / Performance Ratio was a reason to select the Wave Strider Split.

Earn some floaty terms! The Wave Strider split board features a traditional powderfish shape for excellent floatation and gives riders the freedom to summit on their own, ride untracked powder and explore the backcountry. Built using our Control Wood Core with Carbon Pow Beam reinforcement combined with DG Top Technology for weight reduction, the Wave Strider goes up the mountain almost as easy as it comes back down. S1 sidewalls provide this board with durability and dampening while a tough SuperGlide Base gives the Wave Strider maximum glide. The complete package includes skins and adapters so you’re ready to go. So get out there and ride some uncharted terrain, or go get some fresh turns when the resorts are all tracked out.
