The Spark Burner splitboard binding is in principle similar to the blaze. What is new is the more rigid structure specifically designed for higher speeds on the descent. The splitboard-specific highback has the same design as the blaze, but is much stiffer and has been reinforced with a higher percentage of fiberglass. The preformed in Straps are wider for greater comfort and a perfect fit with a larger and more rigid internal skeleton of the strap. Welded rings in the pins are added for more hardness and reliability. The difference between Blaze and Burner is the stiffness of the highback. For a hard nowboardboot the Spark Blaze is recommended and for a soft shoe the Burner. The blaze comes with the brilliant LT-pin system. The new built-in sleeves in the Touring Bracket drastically reduce the wear and allow the use of 7075 pins. The LT system has half the weight of standard pin and bracket, you save approximately 100g (!) With this system. Another feature of these splitboard bindings is that you can fit the crampons on the fly. So no hassle of unmounting the binding, as you have with some competitors.
Light and nice: The Blaze and Burner Splitboard bindings are the lightest on the market at the moment.
