Splitboarding and Skitouring are relatively new in Romania, maybe because not all roads lead to Romania, though the residents called themselfs Romans. That has the effect that the romanian part of the Carpathian arc with mountains up to 2544 meters, is still a real insider tip. The Carpathian Winter season lasts from December till end of may, enough time for touring and enjoying these fantastic mountains.
