Route description
Starting point:

From the parking lot direction north to the Waldbauer.

On the forest road right behind the Waldbauern in a few switchbacks and rather flat to the uncultivated Kastenerbergalm (1734 m). A few meters after the Alm we turn up to Trunajoch / Rötenspitze. Now, the track passes through a treeless swath upwards, always keeping to the right we walk in beautiful splitboard / backcountry area just  below the Trunajoch. Here you go north-west over a back, then easy on the ridge to the soon visible peak. Wonderful view to the Tribulauns and the touring region around the Obernberg valley.

Descent from the summit to the west. From here into the pit below the summit and then we ride at easterly direction back to the ascent track. Here along the trail over wide splitboard / backcountry area (hence many variations possible)  to the Kastenbergalm.
Dependding on the avalanche situation we could turn right into steeper slopes directly down to the Kastnerbergalm, instead of crossing east back to the ascent route.

Then follow the forest road to the parking lot.
