Easy trail with a cozy retreat on the way at Birgitzalm. Also great for kids, ski touring and snowshoeing. More action in this region offers Nockspitze.

Route description
Starting point:

First bend above the inn Adelshof as where the tobogganing and backcountry skiiers can be seen.

We split directly from the parking lot at the bend above the Adelshof inn, cursed by going out the day before the summer trail along south-east through the woods a bit steeper. Once the toboggan run traversing further up to a height of about 1550m. Now we head south until we hit the toboggan run. From here we hike up a broad forest glade, several times, the toboggan run traversing, we reach the Birgitzer Alm. We keep the Birgitzalm on the right hand side and go on to smooth splitboard Backcountry area (just right after a night out), more South-South-East holding on the Birgitzköpfl. With a hangover, we`ve been out there atleast, and not only in the apartment. Ah yes, the food in the Birgitzer Alm is really good. With children this tour can be an amazing experience. Of course, many Backcountry skiiers are on the track, with which we can  have nice conversations.

As ascent, we do not know any different options, because this hike is more a toboggan run, but it is really nice to get children into the backcountry skiing or splitboarding.

Gastronomy recommendation:

Very good food at the cozy Birgitzer Alm.
