Rudi Mair and Patrick Nairz from avalanche warning service Tirol present their latest findings at the 5th Munich Avalanche evening. Here in the video they explain the 10 risk patterns of avalanches and sensitize us before the start of the winter season .


On 24 October 2015, the avalanche safety expert ORTOVOX and Globetrotter invite in the Munich Cinemaxx to the 5th. Munich Avalanche evening.

The main speakers, heads of the Avalanche Warning Service Tyrol, Rudi Mair and Patrick Nairz, will report, based on many avalanche accidents, how these could have been avoided by ordinary preparation. 

The both Tyrolean aroused attention with the publication of their book "The 10 risk pattern"s, in which they analyzed numerous avalanche accidents in recent years and every misfortune could assign a specific pattern.

At the 5th Munich Avalanche evening they present their latest findings and sensitize the audience before the start of the winter season in order to better understand the warning signs of nature.
The 5th Munich ORTOVOX avalanche evening is part of a comprehensive education initiative to which belong, in addition to lectures, practical avalanche courses, interactive training tools on ortovox.com and various, freely available teaching aids, such as the Safety Academy Guidebook.

The avalanche evening takes place in the Cinemaxx at the Isartorplatz in Munich.
The event starts at 17.30 and ends around 19.00 clock clock.
