The Alpine Splitfest returns and will be back in Kandersteg from March 20 – 22, 2015. The festival offers testing possibilities, new touring experiences and exchange with an international splitboard community to everyone interested.

The event combines splitboarding and safety aspects. A variable framework programme, including BBQ, live music and film presentation, is going to surround the whole event and bed and breakfast is offered on-site.

The Alpine Splitfest is situated at 1900 meters above sea level at the mountain station Sunnbüel. The area of Gemmi has always been recognized as a touring paradise for skiers as well as snowboarders (Helvetic Backcountry Map No 04 ‐ Gemmi). The possibilities are almost unlimited in the area of Gemmi. From the small fast hills reaching up to the high alpine summit – everything is in reach within hikes of 40min to 6h Perfect conditions for testing new material!



The Alpine Splitfest offers different packages. Additionally to every package, the booking of a basic safety training from the ORTOVOX Safety Academy is possible

(limited attendance). Arrival is possible from Friday afternoon (20 March, 2015) until Sunday. The first briefing by mountain guides will take place on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday are touring days. Also, the framework programme should not be neglected and besides eating and drinking together, MENIC (www.reverbnation.com/menic) and our DJs provide the right music for a good time and Jeremy Jones' latest film "HIGHER" provides the inspiration for the next tour.
