Deeluxe Spark Fusion 26/27
A compact, firmer backcountry boot for technical tours, steep bootpacks and controlled descents.
Who is this splitboard boot for?
Spark Fusion targets experienced splitboarders with alpine objectives. Its compact shell, firmer flex and crampon heel pay off on steep approaches, bootpacks and demanding traverses.
How do fit and flex feel?
L3 speed lacing secures forefoot and cuff, while the additional BOA system targets ankle and heel. The heat-mouldable Backcountry liner allows some toe-box movement, letting the foot work while walking without constant heel lift on kick turns.
What does the boot offer on the climb?
The short outer footprint helps centre the boot in the binding and limits unnecessary overhang. Vibram Eastridge, Snow Shield and Rock Guard address wet skin tracks and rocky approaches; the backwelt heel accepts semi-automatic crampons.
Which binding matches this boot?
The firmer cuff pairs with a medium-stiff to stiff binding. This combination loses little energy between boot, highback and board and suits steep traverses; a soft highback would only partly use the boot’s precise heel hold.
Read the underlying principles in our gear guide Finding the perfect boot-binding combination.
What changed from the previous season?
The concept is unchanged from the 25/26 page. The current higher price is reflected in the product data; technically, Spark Fusion remains the more direct Deeluxe touring boot.
Have we tested the boot?
We have not personally tested this 26/27 boot. The assessment is based on current manufacturer data, its construction and our existing experience with earlier versions.
