Who is this splitboard binding for?

Rossignol XV Split is intended for riders looking for direct aluminium splitboard binding for demanding big-mountain tours and powerful descents. Rossignol XV Split works best with a medium-stiff or stiff splitboard boot. This combination loses little power between cuff, highback and board and suits heavier riders, firm traverses, steep lines and stiffer splitboards.

How does the system work?

Rossignol XV Split uses PLUM-based ride/tour system with Flip Lock and Icebreaker V-shaped pucks. With this system, the connection from boot through highback and baseplate to the board determines how much input reaches the edge on traverses and turns.

What is included and what else do you need?

Manufacturer package for Rossignol XV Split: a binding pair, pucks, touring brackets and heel risers
Plan separately: Add the matching Rossignol XV crampons for firm traverses.

The exact package matters with this model because missing interface parts are system-specific rather than universal accessories.

What changed from the previous season?

Rossignol XV Split carries its established core construction into 26/27, so experience with PLUM-based ride/tour system with Flip Lock and Icebreaker V-shaped pucks and the binding’s basic character remains relevant. Still verify the current package, size matrix and any running strap or hardware updates.

Which size should you choose?

Available Rossignol XV Split sizes: S/M, M/L. Use the boot’s real outer length: heel and toe should remain centred, straps should operate in their intended range and the boot must not move laterally in the chassis. When in doubt, measure the boot’s outer length and compare it with the current chart because identical labelled sizes can vary substantially between brands. Our boot and binding compatibility guide explains how boot flex, highback and board stiffness interact.

Have we tested this binding?

We are preparing a new 26/27 review of the Rossignol XV Split. Until it is published, this page provides technical guidance without presenting a test verdict in advance.
