Plum Pekye 26/27
Who is this splitboard binding for?
Plum Pekye is intended for riders looking for integrated tech-toe pair for hardboot splitboard climbing. Plum Pekye belongs in a complete hardboot system. Tech toes handle the climb while the downhill binding connects the stiff boot directly to the board. This provides precise edge pressure on firm traverses, but sole length, canting and every interface component must be planned together.
How does the system work?
Plum Pekye uses Low-tech toe using the standard three-screw touring pattern. PLUM continues to use its own interface to pull the board halves together when locked. The 2018/19 lesson still applies: lateral highback support helps on firm traverses, while system stiffness creates a direct ride.
What is included and what else do you need?
Manufacturer package for Plum Pekye: a pair of Pekye tech toes for touring mode
Plan separately: Compatible hardboots and every missing ride-mode or touring component must be planned as one system. Add suitable crampons for firm traverses.
The exact package matters with this model because missing interface parts are system-specific rather than universal accessories.
What changed from the previous season?
Plum Pekye appears in the 26/27 range in this configuration. With no reliable change list for a direct predecessor, we assess its system, fit and package without claiming an undocumented redesign.
Which size should you choose?
Available Plum Pekye sizes: One Size. Use the boot’s real outer length: heel and toe should remain centred, straps should operate in their intended range and the boot must not move laterally in the chassis. When in doubt, measure the boot’s outer length and compare it with the current chart because identical labelled sizes can vary substantially between brands. Our boot and binding compatibility guide explains how boot flex, highback and board stiffness interact.
Have we tested this binding?
We are preparing a new 26/27 review of the Plum Pekye. Until it is published, this page provides technical guidance without presenting a test verdict in advance.
