Plum Eterlou 26/27
Who is this splitboard binding for?
Plum Eterlou is intended for riders looking for more accessible PLUM softboot binding with a softer highback for backcountry all-rounders. Plum Eterlou pairs well with a supportive medium-flex splitboard boot. A very soft boot makes the setup surfier but reduces edge pressure, while an extremely stiff boot can mask the binding’s mobile character.
How does the system work?
Plum Eterlou uses PLUMsplitboard interface. PLUM continues to use its own interface to pull the board halves together when locked. The 2018/19 lesson still applies: lateral highback support helps on firm traverses, while system stiffness creates a direct ride.
What is included and what else do you need?
Manufacturer package for Plum Eterlou: a binding pair and the ride/tour hardware specified by the manufacturer
Plan separately: Confirm whether pucks or ride-mode interfaces are included. Add compatible crampons where your tours require them.
The exact package matters with this model because missing interface parts are system-specific rather than universal accessories.
What changed from the previous season?
Plum Eterlou carries its established core construction into 26/27, so experience with PLUMsplitboard interface and the binding’s basic character remains relevant. Still verify the current package, size matrix and any running strap or hardware updates.
Which size should you choose?
Available Plum Eterlou sizes: S, M, L. Use the boot’s real outer length: heel and toe should remain centred, straps should operate in their intended range and the boot must not move laterally in the chassis. When in doubt, measure the boot’s outer length and compare it with the current chart because identical labelled sizes can vary substantially between brands. Our boot and binding compatibility guide explains how boot flex, highback and board stiffness interact.
Have we tested this binding?
We are preparing a new 26/27 review of the Plum Eterlou. Until it is published, this page provides technical guidance without presenting a test verdict in advance.
